Usain Bolt Given Special Singlet For Paris Diamond League Meet
16-Jul-2010
Usain Bolt was presented with a special PUMA singlet today, in which he will compete in the much anticipated 100m race at Stade de France in Paris tomorrow. Designed by a Parisian artist, this unique singlet features elements of Parisian and Jamaican culture. On the day he launched his new PUMA performance collection in Paris, the sprinter saw the finished design for the first time along with a matching new spike colorway, and excited about both.

'It's wonderful he said, I really like it. I'm going to be the best looking guy out there tomorrow,' said Bolt. 'The lion on the front is an iconic symbol of Jamaican culture, and the Eiffel Tower on the back is obviously so important to Paris. I'm looking forward to running in it tomorrow.'

At Bolt's request, PUMA has arranged for local artists to design custom singlets in further Diamond League events that Bolt will compete in during the 2010 season. These singlets will also fuse Jamaican cultural elements also featured in his PUMA performance collection, with symbols synonymous with the host cities.
